Learn the essential safety protocols and handling techniques for six types of power saws. You will choose three saws to get more practical experience handling and cutting. You will gain confidence and useful skills to tackle your next project.
Changing blades might sound intimidating, but we’ll make it second nature. You’ll learn maintenance tips to keep your saws running smooth and safe.
With guided feedback from an experienced handyperson, you’ll practice handling saws so you’re ready to hit the ground running (or sawing).
Christy is the founder of Handymandy:Major Help for Minor Jobs, a business born from her love of fixing, troubleshooting, and building. Her passion for hands-on work especially with wood was sparked early in life while helping her dad repair and restore instruments in his stringed instrument shop. That experience gave her a deep appreciation for tools, craftsmanship, and creative problem-solving, aka “MacGyvery,” as she likes to call it. Christy also shares her skills at DIY Cave, a local makerspace, and is a fixer at Repair Cafes. Her warm, encouraging approach makes her a favorite collaborator for anyone curious about learning to repair, build, or tinker.
