In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of six essential power saws: The Chainsaw, Table saw, Compound miter saw, Jigsaw, Sawzall, and the Skill saw. With a focus on safety, technique, and practical applications, you’ll leave hankering to take on cool projects at home. Make room at the workbench! This beginner-friendly session emphasizes skill-building in a supportive, fun environment.

With guided feedback from an experienced carpenter, you’ll practice handling each saw so you’re ready to hit the ground running (or sawing).
Jonathan Chatman discovered his life's passion while building tree houses as a boy. Jonathan joined the Army Corps of Engineers in 2004, where he was trained and excelled in carpentry, masonry, and plumbing. After his time in the service, he embarked on a career as a journeyman carpenter. Mr. Chatman has a wide range of knowledge and experience and loves to teach willing learners. Jonathan is now retired living in Prineville with his beautiful wife and 6 children.

Pre-registration is free. With some workshops, we schedule them once we get a minimum number of pre-registrations. We the work out the date with the pre-registrants. If you can't make the date, we cancel your registration.
