Kat Dougherty is the in-house training coordinator and lead paramedic at Adventure Medics, with over 18 years of experience in emergency medicine. As a firefighter, 911 paramedic, and wilderness rescue technician, Kat has seen it all. She is passionate about helping others gain the confidence to handle medical emergencies. When not training others, she loves climbing, trail running, and backcountry skiing with her dog, Boone.
Adventure Medics is a leader in providing medical support for adventure events and training programs that prepare outdoor enthusiasts for the unexpected. Founded by Matt Sabelman, Adventure Medics operates in three states, offering certification courses and event medical support. Their dedication to combining emergency medicine with an active lifestyle makes them the perfect partner for this workshop.

Yes! There will be a potluck. Bring a dish to share with your fellow participants.
Minors are welcome when accompanies by a parent or guardian. You will need to drink their beer though. Tough duty, parenting!
