Understanding your current weed situation is the first step in effective management. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to determine the causes of weed invasions and identify the specific weed species affecting your property. We'll cover the impact of these weeds on livestock and explore various combat methods, including timing and techniques. Bring your weed samples for a hands-on assessment experience, and leave with a clear understanding of the challenges your land faces and how to address them effectively.
Effective weed management requires a strategic approach. During the workshop, you'll work in groups to set realistic objectives and priorities based on your specific circumstances. We'll guide you through the process of developing a comprehensive management plan that integrates prevention, treatments, monitoring, and restoration practices. Using a detailed workbook, you’ll leave equipped with a tailored plan of attack, ready to implement best practices for keeping your land healthy and weed-free.

Invasive plants are expanding across the landscape faster than people can stop them. Cooperative Weed Management Areas are how local groups can manage invasive plants across political boundaries for the benefit of all.
Plants have many survival strategies: some species have overcome many barriers to become a biological nuisance in habitats around the world. Understanding the life history of invasive species is the secret to successful management.
