Paint With Wool! It’s Magic!

Interested in learning a new, portable and satisfying craft? Discover how to “paint” with wool in this hands-on workshop. Participants will create a mushroom portrait while learning how wool, felting needles, and fabric work together to build color, texture, and imagery. Think you can’t draw? We’ll show you how to use your artist’s eye to transform what you see into fiber art. You’ll learn materials, techniques, and creative applications that can be used on everything from bags and jackets to home décor. And you leave with a take-home kit to get you started!

The Basics Plus Take Home Gift

needle felting

Get comfortable with the tools of the trade, from wool and felting needles to the fabric base that holds it all together. You’ll build foundational skills and gain confidence using simple techniques that create surprisingly rich texture. And you’ll take home a starter kit!

Mushroom Masterpiece

mushroom portrait

This workshop uses a nature-inspired mushroom design to help you practice seeing like an artist without the pressure of “being good at drawing.” You’ll explore color, lighting, layering, and texture in a way that feels approachable, tactile, and fun.

Fiber Art Beyond the Frame

Needle felting isn’t just for wall art—it can bring new life to jackets, bags, and home décor too. You’ll leave with practical ideas for how to keep experimenting with fiber art on everyday surfaces.

Community Potluck!

Potluck table

Nothing says community like a potluck. Breaking bread while building bridges, so to speak. This workshop will include a potluck, a chance to talk about what you are learning, share experiences, and get to know one another. We’ll supply the main protein. Please bring something along to share with your neighbors!
