Join us for a unique and eco-friendly workshop where you'll make wildflower bombs—biodegradable balls made of clay and wildflower seeds. These “bombs” are designed to be tossed into areas where flowers might grow, helping to beautify the landscape and provide essential habitats for pollinators. Led by expert gardener Beth Covert and Lisa Sanco from Worthy Environmental, this hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone interested in supporting the environment in a fun and creative way.
When: 10/27, 11:00am - 1:00pm
Where: Sisters Farmers Market
How Much: No fee — contribute what you wish!
In this workshop, you’ll make your own wildflower bombs. Beth and Lisa will guide you through the process, and talk to you about how to do this at home from scratch. You’ll get to take home your own handmade bombs, ready to be scattered wherever flowers are needed. These wildflower bombs not only brighten up the landscape but also support pollinators like bees and butterflies, which are crucial to maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
Pollinators play a vital role in our environment, helping plants reproduce and ensuring we have a diverse and vibrant ecosystem. During the workshop, Lisa Sanco will share insights on the importance of pollinators, the challenges they face, and how your wildflower bombs can help create supportive habitats. You'll leave with a deeper understanding of how simple actions can make a big difference in preserving biodiversity.
