In this workshop, you’ll gain a foundational understanding of how to extract medicinal properties from a variety of herbs. Learn the differences between infusions, decoctions, tinctures, salves, and syrups, and how to make each one. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the confidence to create your own natural remedies at home.
We’ll cover the basics of making herbal infusions and decoctions, exploring which herbs work best for each method. You’ll get hands-on experience, and by the end, you’ll know how to create potent herbal teas and brews to support your health.
Learn how to create tinctures, salves, and syrups from fresh and dried herbs. We’ll guide you through the process, from selecting the right herbs to preserving your creations. Best of all, you’ll take home a salve and syrup made during the workshop!
Meet Holly Hutton. She is a registered herbalist with the American Herbal Guild and has been teaching herbalism for over 14 years. She currently shares her knowledge with students through Central Oregon Community College and the Herbal Academy. Holly is the founder and creator of Herbal Goddess Medicinals, where she combines her passion for natural medicine and herbalism. In addition, she grows and sells medicinal herb plants suited for Central Oregon.
