At this workshop, participants will learn how to purchase and store local herbs to achieve the best flavors and yields. Attendees will also explore the differences between herbs and spices and understand how to incorporate local herbs into everyday cooking.
Suzanne Landry will showcase the preparation of two dishes, each highlighting the use of fresh herbs and globally-sourced spices. Suzanne will explain how to balance the five basic flavors, ensuring each dish is a culinary delight. And you get to taste samples!
Suzanne Landry is a Wellness Educator, and Celebrity Chef, and author of The Passionate Vegetable and Fresh Food Matters. Suzanne has over thirty-five years of experience as a culinary instructor, educator, and industry consultant, and has inspired many people toward a healthier lifestyle. She is very active in a women’s group that she started 5 years ago and loves hiking in Central Oregon with them.
