Pre-registration
When you pre-register for a workshop, you guarantee yourself a ticket. Pre-registration is free. We take your credit card but don't charge you until you accept the option. We set the date after we meet the goal for the workshop. When we hit the goal, we send you a set of options in a Doodle poll. You pick the dates that work for you, and we choose the one that works for the most people. If you can make it, we ticket and charge you. If you can't make it, no charge.
Scheduling
Single Session Pre-registration Workshops. When we meet the pre-registration goal, we set the date. We'll send you a Doodle poll with options. After a week, if we have enough people agree on a date, we schedule and let you know. If we don't get enough agreement, we wait till a few more people to sign up and try again.
Workshops with Multiple Sessions. We schedule the first session as above. The remaining sessions are scheduled at that first meeting. We found it impossible to get agreement any other way!
Pricing
If you pre-register, you get a significant discount, up to 30% off the registration price. After enough people pre-register, we set a date. If you accept the date, you are ticketed at the discounted price. Because we schedule the workshop based on your pre-registration, the cancellation policy for pre-registration is less lenient than for a registration. You get a credit if you cancel, but not a refund.
Cancellation and Refunds
We want you to be happy and we understand that life happens. Still, we are a small non-profit and need to be wise with our limited funds.
- Pre-registered Ticket. If you pre-register, you get a deep discount. You can cancel at any time after ticketing and get a credit for the full cost that you can use for any other workshop. Because we scheduled the workshop based on your pre-registration, no cash refunds.
- Full Price Ticket. If you pay full price, you get your money back if you cancel up to a week before the workshop. After that, you get a credit.
In all cases, if you cancel a workshop that has a capped attendance within three days of the workshop, and we're sold out, we'll slot you into a future session of the workshop at no charge so long as it is not sold out. We'll get you in eventually!
