In this problem-solving, interactive workshop, you’ll learn to identify invasive weeds with free apps, explore effective strategies to combat them, and design a sustainable, long-term management plan to reclaim your property. There's a potluck too...so bring something to share with your neighbors!!!
When: We’ll schedule this again when we get 10 pre-registrants.
Where: We'll determine after we meet the pre-reg goal
Price: Contribute-what-you-can
Pre-registration is free; we only charge your credit card when we're ready to schedule (and you say ok). When 10 people pre-register, we'll set up the next workshop with your input on dates!
Learn how to use the Oregon Wildflower Search and Google Lens to identify invasive weeds on your property. Once you know what you’re dealing with, we’ll explore the best options to combat these pesky plants for good.
We’ll dive into the key components of a sustainable weed management strategy that works with your goals and resources—because a one-size-fits-all plan just won’t cut it.
It's one thing to generally understand how to control weeds. It's another to have your own personal plan for your situation. Use our AI planning tool to build your plan. Bring your phone or a laptop!
Debbie Wood has dedicated nine years to managing noxious weed populations as the coordinator for the Crooked River Weed Management Area at the Crook County OSU Extension Office. Comfortable clothes for a classroom.
A smartphone and a laptop or tablet (both are needed for workshop activities), samples or photos of weeds on your property (if available), and a potluck dish to share.
Download these two apps - Oregon Wildflower Search and if you have an iphone, Google if you don't have it. We'll be using Google Lens. Also, either create and account on www.chatgpt.com, or login using Google or another sign-in method.
Minors are welcome if the accompanying adult feels they’ll find the workshop engaging.
Yes, we’re having a potluck! Bring a contribution; we’ll supply the main protein.
